Sorry havent been around

Hi, ill try and catch up with all your photos "followers" over the next couple of days. i enjoy the unque and individual styles that everyone has and to be honest, i get some of my insperation for my own shots from you photos, i like to try and work out how you did it and then try myself.

Anyway to cut a long story down to size,,,,,, i stuffed my computer (TOTALLY) and had to reload it from scratch, "what a pain in the backside".

anyway it all up and running again........and thankfully i didnt loss all my photos, no i didnt back them up, it was shear good luck. there backed up now,,,,,

anyway ill catch up with you blogs, seeyas

The Men at Work Early One Morning

A water main burst about 4am one morning, the fellas desided to get me up too. the buggars......
I took this photo as a raw image and had a play with the raw software that came with my camera. the original is very yellow due to the street lighting. theres some neat little gadgets and fixes you can do with a raw image,,,, big files but....

YES, its the dog again!!!

Piper in the park waiting for the ball to come back down, so she can bring it back to me and we do it all again.
Shes not a big dog, but she loves the ball......

A Stormy horizon

Stromy Horizon, It looks ok, but i trigged it a bit with picasa..... thats the great thing with digital photography. you can alter it later

Each Drop Counts, Maybe!

Playing around with the camera, trying to capture a drip.
Notice the blurry bit at the bottom of the droplet. i worked out what it was in the end. i was using the flash the main droplet is where the flash went off and the blurry bit at the bottom is after the flash, but with the shutter still open.
I tryed doing it after without the flash and ive learnt that you need a lot of light as you speed up the shutter, its all a learning experiance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Grape Vines (an altered prespective)

I took two shots, 1 looking down each row, then stitched them together.

Look at the mountain range in the background and it gives it all away. the mountains dont line up........

The Outback Dry

A typical Farmland picture, no wind to drive the windmill and the tanks rusted full of holes (buggared)..

We have had rain now and the land is looking better.

Its true, Austraila is "a Sun Burnt Country"

The simple things

When you really look at the simple thing then you get a feeling that there not that simple.

Even the top of an old weathered iron star post has a story to tell.

Me being artistic,,

Its the top of a cactus. Ive twigged the colour and sharpness, just a little......

came out ok, , ,

used the macro setting on the camera and a small a f-stop to increase the depth of focus.

PS, My cameras my new pride and joy, its a Canon 450D, My first Digital SLR....... still workin out how to use it,,,,,,,

Ball Mad

My Ball, The Bloody Dogs Ball Mad. just think about getting the ball and the dogs there panting and ready to play.

This Shot was  fluke, id like to say i planned it and used my skill as a camera man, but it would be a lie, a bloody down rite lie. Still its a great action shot of the dog

Griffith, NSW.

I notices this sunset as i was driving along the Darlington Point Rd, South of Griffith. It was a very Hot 44 plus Degress and the air was heavy with dust and smoke from the Victorian BUSHFIRES.

Still, Nature can put on a show for us mortals
